Self Initiated, February 2019

This self initiated drawing continued my research into domestic labour, and was a manifestation of work at Mayday Rooms taken into the home. Research into Wages for Housework and The Lucas informed me about repurposing and socially useful production. This work adapts a standard household cleaning object into a drawing tool. These drawings represent and record movement and are a visual record of activity making invisible domestic labour evident. The image is of a full size drawing made with my vacuum cleaner, a Space Invaders trackball, an Arduino board and Physical computing software design assistance.
