The Moaners Reading Event (24mins)

During the lockdowns of 2020, I started an online Zoom and Whatsapp group for working women in sectors as diverse as insurance, health, cosmetics and beauty who had been made redundant as a result of the pandemic. Collectively we decided to record unpaid domestic labour carried out during a standard 8 hour working day previously devoted to paid labour. In my role as mediator I voiced these narratives highlighting the recent shift to ‘working from home’ as ‘never leaving work’.
